Alan Boyko - the winner of the Eye Splice with a time of 3 minutes and 6.1 seconds. Alan won the World Championship in the loggers eye splicing contest the year of this photo, and in subsequent years he also won the Canadian Championship for the same event. Eye splicing has fallen to the wayside as a logger sports event and is now rarely done in big competitions.
