Panorama of the log booms and the camp of the Booth Logging Company, of Vancouver, BC., at Menzies Bay, on Vancouver Island, near the south entrance of Seymour Narrows. View shows approximately 1,500,000 feet of Fir, Cedar and Hemlock logs in standing boom. The land on which this timber was cut is one of the oldest Crown Grants in this vicinity and consists of Lots 1 and 9, Sayward District. The stumpage was purchased before the war at $3 per thousand, approximately 2,000 acres in the two lots. It will probably cut 40,000 feet per acre, or 80,000,000 feet, with a value close to 240,000.
